Alan Willis Thicke (born Alan Willis Jeffery; March 1, 1947) is a Canadian actor, songwriter, and game and talk show host. He is known for his role as Jason Seaver, the father on the ABC television series ''Growing Pains.'' He is the father of actor Brennan Thicke and singer Robin Thicke. In 2013, Thicke was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.
==Early life==
Thicke was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada, the son of Joan, a nurse, and William Jeffery, a stockbroker.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=FilmReference.com )〕 His mother remarried, to Dr. Brian Thicke, a physician. Alan graduated from Elliot Lake Secondary School in 1965, and was elected homecoming king. He went on to attend the University of Western Ontario, where he joined the Delta Upsilon fraternity.
